Peter Majercik (b. 1998, Bratislava, Slovakia) a.k.a. YAXXED is a visual abstract media artist based in Zürich, Switzerland, currently studying Master of Fine Arts at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
The aim of YAXXED’s work is to explore the challenges, and the possibilities between analog and digital layers of the current world, and their fundamental impacts on humanity by creating meaningful narratives at the junction of art, design and technology.
Through specific methods of space/object re-contextualisation and manipulation in a network of patterns, surrounding us in our everyday life, he observers the relationship among organic and synthetic structures in their simplest sense.

Coming from a background in User Experience Design, YAXXED’s work is focused on the non-verbal communication between work and viewer, through channels of interaction.
Precisely, the life abroad was key to his abstract creative work, which evolved naturally from love of technology, curiosity and urban photography.
The idea of “FREEWORLD” was derived from a state of mind, in which one should have the ability to hold and consider an opinion, perspective, or thought, entirely independent of others. It is the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in decision, choice and action.
We are all formed by our unique abilities of perception, personal narratives and experiences. By using a universal language structure of colours and shapes, YAXXED provides a platform that invites, and gives power to individuals to become their own artist.
